Director/Principal Physiotherapist

James is an established Physiotherapist and business owner in the North Shore. He graduated with both Bachelor and Master's degree from The University of Sydney. His vast array of experience and exposure within the field has helped him gain insight into how to best implement what he has learnt into best practice.

James's clinical interest includes complex and chronic pain management. His understanding of the human body goes well above and beyond just the area of pain. He is passionate about problem solving and finding the root cause of the issues, identifying, prioritising problems to come up with a long term plan and solution. James likes exploring the biopyschosocial (the biology, psychology and social aspects of a human) model and its complex connection to chronic pain. His holistic approach and hands on manual therapy techniques mastered over many years has helped his patients recover and feel long lasting relief. James is a true believer in empowering his patients to take control of their life and condition/injury.

James grew up in the North shore and lives locally. He firmly believes being part of the community is an essential part of Physio Room's existence. James was a competitive athlete growing up having rowed and played Rugby Union at a representative level playing for Sydney University whilst completing his University studies. Since hanging up his boots he has been practicing Brazilian Jiu-jitsu nearly ten years in which he currently holds a brown belt.
