What is the difference between Clinical Pilates and Studio Pilates?

Our studio pilates is a perfect way to stay fit and enjoy a small group class run by a qualified Pilates Instructor. We run classes with upto 4 clients per one instructor.

Clinical Pilates is run by a qualified Physiotherapist for the purpose of rehabilitation. Studio Pilates is run by a qualified Pilates instructor focussing on strength, balance, flexibility and endurance. At Physio Room, our Pilates instructor will liase as needed with the Physiotherapist.

Exercise classes led by a Physiotherapist can be claimed under your health insurance (check with healthfund). You will not be able to claim back sessions for our Studio Pilates.

How does it work?

You will need an initial assessment to attend our program. For clinical Pilates with a Physiotherapist and with Studio pilates with a pilates instructor. You will not be able to join our Clinical Pilates program until you have seen a Physiotherapist. However, you can  transition into studio pilates from our Clinical Pilates program.
